The Hotel Luena team put some comfortable shoes and went to experience two of the Lines to tell you all about it!
BELÉM LINE
The tour starts at Praça Marquês de Pombal and its route passes through 23 tourist attractions in the capital.
As soon as we entered, we were offered some headphones to put on and with them we made a tour of all the sights we are seeing while listening to the history of the city. And of course, we should take a bottle of water and a hat with us to protect ourselves from the sun and heat!
Some of the points on the red line that we find very interesting and that we advise you to get off at the respective stop to visit are: the famous Jerónimos Monastery, the Belém Tower and the Padrão dos Descobrimentos.
Nothing better than a beautiful view of the entire Tagus River with one of the most iconic and precious monuments in Portugal! Take some pictures, stroll along the river and even enjoy the famous pastéis de Belém!
Of course, for museum fans, we were also lucky enough to pass by some of the best museums in Lisbon, such as Museu Nacional dos Coches and MAAT!
CASCAIS LINE
The second Line we chose was the Cascais Line. It's the perfect line to take a stroll on summer days as it stops at several beaches along the way! Not only do we pass by the great beach of Oeiras and the famous beach of Carcavelos.
We can also enjoy the beauty of places like Estoril and then we stop at the village of Cascais, where we decided to have lunch as it had a lot of typical Portuguese restaurants and the smell of grilled fish made everyone who passed by there hungry!
We ended this walk admiring the contrast between the white sand dunes of Guincho beach, truly wonderful, and we still pass through the hills of Serra de Sintra.
A perfect summer trip that helped us discover the History of Portugal along the Portuguese coast!
