A walk near Lisbon: the village of Óbidos

Óbidos Medieval Fair (July and August)
It is perhaps the most popular fair in Óbidos, where people from all over the world come to experience an unforgettable medieval day. To live the full experience there is the possibility of renting medieval costumes there. The fair has lots of fun, music, jousting, shows and theater all over the place.
The famous medieval fair of Óbidos lasts a week, and usually takes place in the summer months, in July or August. An event you won't want to miss.
Óbidos Lagoon
Óbidos Lagoon is one of the most beautiful secrets of Óbidos.
Combining tranquility and inexplicable beauty, it is the destination of many families who decide to spend their summer days in the best way. It seems that we are one with nature, surrounded by trees and flowers as well as various marine species such as crabs, it is an experience unlike any other.
Óbidos Lagoon is a perfect place for walks, bike rides, picnics or simply a divine lunch.
For sports lovers, it is possible to rent a kayak or paddle board. There are options for windsurfing, sailing and paragliding, closer to the town of Foz do Arelho, in the municipality of Caldas da Rainha.
And of course, before leaving, you have to try the famous Óbidos ginjinha accompanied by a glass of chocolate, which you can find in all the cafes in the village.
